Hawk's Landing

For a mixed-use development south of Tacoma, Jennifer created a series of sculptural metal artworks inspired by the hawks native to the region and the mixed-use development’s name, Hawk’s Landing.

Her two- and three-dimensional pieces transform wayfinding into an artistic expression of place. The signature monument combines more than 2,000 pounds of weathering steel with contrasting stainless steel, creating a dynamic, raptor-inspired form. Collaborating with a structural engineer, Jennifer integrated a seismic-resistant concrete base and concealed uplighting that dramatically illuminates the hawk at night.
