Mary Lyons Musical Sculpture

Jennifer won a competition to design a child-friendly sculpture that collects roof runoff and demonstrates how water enters the storm system. Using rolled metal pipes and brightly painted half-spheres, she created an interactive installation that combines art, education, and play. The lower chamber’s half-spheres and springs produce musical notes when clapped together. Carefully scaled for accessibility, the sculpture invites people of all ages and abilities, including children using wheelchairs, to explore and engage with the artwork.
